The off-season has always been the athlete's opportunity to revise the training routine - the chance to correct the mistakes of the past season, and to rebuild for even better performance in the upcoming year.

Many of Colorado's elite runners, cyclists, and triathletes are discovering that snowshoeing is the key to increased aerobic capacity, more power, and it makes them feel just plain stronger!!!

SnowshoeIf done properly, training on snowshoes can elevate your spring and summer performance to a whole new level... AND, it's FUN!

Darrin Eisman is an accomplished multisport athlete and a sponsored snowshoe racer. His articles on snowshoe cross-training have appeared in various magazines over the years...
and now he is offering two on-snow clinics to demonstrate the techniques to improving your summer performance with snowshoeing. Every clinic during the past 4 year's has filled to capacity, and dozen's of athletes were turned away, so sign up early to guarantee acceptance.

Each of the 3-1/2+ hour clinics will be identical, and is limited to 10-12 participants. There will be a short discussion detailing what to look for when purchasing a running/cross training snowshoe - then we will head out into the snow for a crash-course in winter cross-training for the summer athlete.

Clinics will feature 10-15 minute periods of vigorous activity, followed by Q&A and a short walk to our next training site. Participants should be prepared for a rigorous workout, but one that is suited for all ability levels. No previous snowshoeing experience is necessary, just a willingness to have fun!

Each of the 10-15 minute sessions will feature a workout geared toward a specific area of improvement - from VO2 Max, to Lactate Threshold, to sport-specific strength training.

The cost for the clinic is $45 and includes the free use of a pair of Alchemy snowshoes. Confirmation of registration will be sent to all participants, and will include directions to the clinic site as well as clothing recommendations.
