The West Side Duathlon is the final race in the 2010 Mile High Duathlon Series. All abilities are welcome! Enter one race, or du all three!

Rules

Cut-Offs: The only cutoff time in this race applies to the bike course. There will be a cut-off time of 9:00 to begin a second lap of the bike course. All bicyclists who have not made the turn onto Hwy 93 by 9:00am will be directed to transition.

Rules: The West Side Duathlon follows all established rules of multisport racing.

  • You must start in your designated starting wave, and complete the entire course.
  • Drafting is prohibited - you must leave at least 3 bike lengths between your front wheel and the rear wheel of the bike ahead of you, unless passing. All passes must be completed within 15-20 seconds.
  • Riding side-by-side is prohibited
  • You must ride to the right side of the road, and pass on the left. Upon completing a pass, you must move immediately to the right side of the road.
  • Your helmet must be buckled at all times while on the bike
  • Access to the transition area is limited to athletes only - no family or friends.
  • IPODS ARE PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES DURING THE RACE. Ipod use on the bike course will result in a disqualification. Ipod use on the run course will result in a 5 minute penalty.
