GENERAL INFORMATION
COURSE:This scenic sprint course kicks off with a 525 yard pool swim at the Mount Vernon Country Club aquatic facility. Next, you'll be challenged with a 10 mile bike ride that rolls around the summit area of Lookout Mountain. The race concludes with a rolling 5K run entirely within the Country Club.
525 Yard Swim: Swimmers will be seeded according to predicted swim time, and will start 4 per lane. Each participant will receive an individual start time, and lap counters will track your progress through the swim. Please be as accurate as possible when predicting your swim time. Estimated swim times can be updated until 5pm on June 15th by sending an email to darrin@racingunderground.com. Swim times cannot be updated after June 15th.
10 Mile Bike Course: The 10 mile ride follows well maintained paved roadways atop Lookout Mountain, offering scenic views, challenging climbs, and fun descents. This ride does not use the switchback road that climbs Lookout Mountain from the Golden side. It is entirely on the upper portion of Lookout Mountain. It is one of the best sprint bike courses in the state!
5K Run Course: This fun, rolling run loop is almost entirely on dirt roadways that wind through the Mount Vernon Country Club property. You will pass through open meadows, and under shady pines as you tour this beautiful course!

*Awards times may be moved a bit depending on the number of athletes still on course

REGISTRATION
Your entry fee includes entry into the race, a Lookout Mountain Tri technical shirt in men's and women's sizing, fun music, a racer goody bag, the best post-race spread around (additional meals for friends & family will be available for purchase during registration), entry into our sponsor merchandise drawing, and if you are one of the speedy guys or gals up front, you may take home a bit of cash!!!
The Lookout Mountain Triathlon is limited to 300 entrants. There will not be a waiting list for this event, so be sure to enter early to guarantee your spot! The race sold out in 2011, and based on the rave reviews we received, we anticipate selling out much earlier in 2012. There will be no race-day registration for this event.

- June 1 or later : Individualy $77, Relays $140
Registration is now open! As always, there are no processing fees for online registration, and new in 2012 - there will be no additional fees for a USA Triathlon one-day license! USAT has raised their one-day fee to $12, which affects more than 80 percent of our participants. As a result, we have chosen not to sanction the event with USAT this year. In all, you will save nearly $20, and relay teams will save more than $40!!! Racing Underground has been coordinating multisport and running events on the Front Range for 18 years, providing well organized races with a reasonable entry fee and all of the perks including high quality tech-shirts in men's and women's styles, catered post-race meals, fast and accurate results, well marked and marshaled courses, more than $10,000 in prize money in 2012, quick and efficient packet pick-up, and amazing sponsor drawings at each event! All without the added cost. I hope we'll see you on June 30th for another awesome event!!!

PACKET PICK-UP & DIRECTIONS
PACKET PICK-UP: We will offer two packet pick-up options in 2012. A Wednesday packet pick-up at KompetitiveEdge in Denver from 3-6pm, and also a race morning packet pick-up which will open at 5:00am in the expo area, immediately adjacent to the transition and finish line.
You will receive your timing chip in the pool area just before entering the water. You must wear your timing chip in order to receive a finish time and place. All timing chips must be returned at the finish line. If you decide not to finish, please stop by the finish line and turn your chip in at the exit to the finisher corral.

THE MOUNT VERNON COUNTRY CLUB IS A PRIVATE COMMUNITY. PLEASE, DO NOT DRIVE, RUN, OR BIKE INTO THE CLUB PRIOR TO RACE DAY, OR YOU WILL JEOPARDIZE OUR ABILITY TO HOLD THIS EVENT. ONLY CLUB MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED BEYOND THE GATE, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF RACE MORNING.
DIRECTIONS: The Mount Vernon Country Club is located atop Lookout Mountain in Golden. Access the Country Club by exiting I-70 at exit 254. Turn north at the stop sign. You are now going North on MVCC Road. Continue North through the MVCC Gate and follow the paved road for approximately 1.3 miles - the Club is on the left. Parking is limited at the race site, so carpooling is encouraged, and spectators must ride with their athlete. Parking attendants will direct you to parking.

POST-RACE FUN - RESULTS - AWARDS
We'll have plenty of really, REALLY good food in the finish line area to fill your belly! And hopefully you'll also be one of the lucky participants who walks away with some sponsor schwag in our post race drawing.
RESULTS: Race results will be posted on-site throughout the race, and on this website on the afternoon of the race. Participants must wear their timing chip and cross the timing mat at the finish line in order to receive an official time. All timing chips must be returned at the finish line to avoid a lost chip charge. Results will only be edited (for mispelled names, etc.) for two weeks following the event.
AWARDS: Awards are scheduled to be presented at 10:30 a.m. however this time may be adjusted depending the number of participants still on course. Prize money will be presented to the top-3 male and female overall finishers in the amounts of $150, $100, and $50. In addition, awards will be presented to the top-3 male and female finishers age 19 & under, and in each 5-year age group starting with 20-24. Awards also presented in Male, Female, and Coed relay divisions as well as Clydesdale and Athena. Overall cash winners will be excluded from age group awards. We will not have a pro category, however professional triathletes will be eligible for overall cash awards.
